A High Card poker hand
A High Card is one step down from a Pair and is the lowest value hand possible.
Cards to make a High Card: J, 9, 7, 6, 2 (No mathcing pairs and
no other poker hand made).
If
more than 1 player has a High Card then the highest High Card wins.
e.g.1
Player 1: K, J, 9, 7, 2
Player 2: Q, J, 6, 5, 2
Player
1 wins as their High Card of King is higher than players 2's High
Card of Queen.
e.g.2
Player 1: K, J, 9, 5, 2
Player 2: K, Q, 7, 3, 2
Player
2 wins as in this case the although they both have the same high
card, you have to then work back through the cards in order of value
untill you get the winner. In this case Player 2's next high card
is a Queen which beat's players 1's Jack. |
